Movie Feature - Clancy

Filmed on location in Louisville, Kentucky 'Clancy' is a heartwarming story that intertwines bits of humor, discovery, friendship, faith, sacrifice and courage in the face of adversity and betrayal.

An independent young girl, full of faith and hope for better things to come, runs away from home fearing child protective services will take her away from her abusive mother. An ill-tempered, homeless Gulf War veteran becomes her unlikely protector and friend. Political ambitions of the local mayor and police chief threaten their futures as they discover how true friendship can change a life forever.


Writer/Director Jefferson Moore, of Kelly's Filmworks (who also wrote and directed the best-selling film, 'The Perfect Stranger'), anticipates that the success and support of this movie will be proof of the growing desire for more family friendly movies. "Our goal with 'Clancy'", says Moore, "was to produce a film that combined the elements of friendship, action, peril and deception, without giving up our strong moral message."

Newcomer Christina Fougnie (pronounced foon-yay) makes her big screen debut as the title character. Moore comments, "Christina is my favorite actress in the world. More times than not, I found myself following her lead in a scene, rather than vice-versa. She was also a director's dream....mainly, because she seldom needed any (direction)."

The DVD which is packed with bonus featurettes including "Finding Clancy," "Behind the Scenes Scrapbook," "Alternate Ending," "Precious Memories Music Video" and "Commentary Tracks," has been in the making for several years, with Moore taking the lead on writing, directing and acting.

"'Clancy' represents a five-year labor of love for me - as a writer, an actor, and a director," says Moore. "Along the way, I learned some valuable lessons about God's perfect timing. Because of the elements I had to wait on, the final result could not have been more inspiring."
